Our Mission

To inspire responsible stewardship of native ecologies

for healthier lands and communities.

At EcoLogic, we are changing the culture around land management by demonstrating the many benefits of a low-impact, manual approach to landscape regeneration — without reliance on machinery or herbicides. We incorporate the most current ecological practices with special attention to native flora in order to reinvigorate our varied Piedmont ecologies and support their native species.

We aim to celebrate and rehabilitate the natural world — especially within our urban environments where the loss of connection to nature is most palpable. Our goal is to not only to grow healthy ecology but to empower our clients and community to become active stewards of the natural systems we rely on.

Who We Are

EcoLogic is a queer-run, woman-owned organization. We specialize in regenerative naturescape services including manual invasive plant removal, native plant installation, stormwater run-off mitigation, erosion control, soil remediation, and habitat expansion. We prioritize working with natural systems, rather than against them, to ensure the success of our regenerative landscaping goals.

Our unique approach coupled with our commitment to quality has earned us a reputation for exceptional results, which can be experienced any day of the week by taking a stroll through Atlanta’s renowned Fernbank Forest where we have managed invasive removal in key sensitive areas since 2019.

Eco Over Ego

“What you do makes a difference,

and you have to decide what kind of difference

you want to make.”

- Jane Goodall

We ascribe to the philosophy of “eco over ego” by centering our practice in ecology and community. In collaboration with our partners, we are establishing a sustainable landscaping network that engages with local citizens to promote land stewardship. We aim to showcase and safeguard our ecologies so that Atlanta is looked to nationwide as a progressive example for land stewardship solutions in the face of climate challenges.

We take sustainability seriously in our practice of land management. On a micro-level, we implement a holistic approach to regenerative landscaping by incorporating progressive principles of ecology, design, permaculture, and mindfulness to achieve increased biodiverse native habitat within the urban landscape. On a macro-level, we are educating our clients, our community, and ourselves in sustainable land stewardship practices that embrace our diversity of needs and perspectives.

While habitat loss due to invasive plant displacement is an issue that has begun to reach the public, the general population remains uninformed of the destruction that most mechanical and chemical invasive control methods can perpetuate. We are especially committed to demonstrating that while these kinds of services can seem to be a “quick fix,” such approaches are ultimately more expensive than our phased, manual removal tactics. This is because “quick fix” solutions usually backfire, fail, and require more work in the long run. By disrupting or destroying native ecology as part of the mechanical or chemical control process, an opportunity for more pernicious outbreaks of other invasive plants arises and results in denser infestations.

We aspire to the “eco over ego” philosophy by continuing to advocate and re-establish the deep connection between the human individual, the community, and the Earth; as this is the only truly sustainable way to move forward.
